Love's in the Air...

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY to all non-lovebirds and lovebirds!

Didn't do much today.

Lucky M has her boyfriend with her and they're going to the Syd Aquarium... so jealous. But nah, it gives me a chance to sit down and try to study. I have to, because I have work on Saturday. Also, my parents are staying in a hotel near my place on Sunday and Monday and then moving to the city because my dad's company has paid for this hotel in the city from Tuesday and not sure how long they'll be around for.

Well this morning, I studied a little bit, just touching on linguistics as the exam's on Monday... Then I had to go to the docs to get my vaccination. There was actually an explosion at the Broadway Shopping Centre yesterday and there was a huge fire. No-one was hurt but all the electricity failed and the vaccines stored in the fridge were worn out, so the doc couldn't give me a vaccine today, instead he took a blood test - safer anyway he said, so he'll know if I really need a vaccine or not. I actually needed three blood tests, but with the technology nowadays, he only needed to take one needle and one big tube of blood from me and from that sample, he can conduct the three blood tests. That really relieved me. Imagine three needles and three big tubes... Surprisingly it didn't hurt, but it was definitely a huge tube. Unfortunately they don't do the TB testing at this medical centre because they don't have the equipment and I have to go to a special radiation clinic to get it. Well, results of my blood test will be out next week. If it's all positive, then I don't have to take any vaccines till my next check-up. But if it's negative, then I'll have to. The doc also said it's probably wise to do my shots after the exams just in case of any reactions.

Poor TY - he's sick today... But good thing because he didn't go to work. In fact I recall him saying a day or two ago that if he got sick then he didn't need to go to work. Hee.

Anyway, just another day of love which should be every other day I reckon. Marketers should be happy on this day. Today, saw these two guys in business suits at a flower shop discussing what types of flowers to get their loved one then at the newsagency where I was getting TY a card, there was a queue and a few guys were surrounding the V-Day card shelf and looking long and hard, and when I found my card and started leaving the newsagency, a lot of guys were still looking. Hee... I guess it always has to be the RIGHT card and a lot of cards I saw were quite dodgy.

So yeah, this was V-Day. Now back home and gonna cook dinner and then study.
