I guess this is when you start to dread uni... Had my linguistics exam today and been studying really hard for it, but some gut feeling is telling me I haven't done well and that I totally flunked the Short Answer Questions. I was pretty upset about it because I had a mind blank and I actually knew a few of the answers... so I was probably more frustrated than upset.
Anyway, not gonna dwell anymore. Just gonna put it aside and concentrate on the next two papers coming up - Monday and Tuesday next week. Oh... I have a speech live test at work tomorrow too. Apparently my company had this crazy idea of going live with the 4:30pm news bulletin. That's really insane because I'll have to talk 15minutes straight with hardly a breath. *throat croaks*
My parents are here by the way, up in Sydney. They arrived today and cooked dinner plus a few other dishes for me and my housemate to eat the next few days. That was really nice of them because it's the exam period. Also, I am working three days next week before the exams and with all the meals to just heat-up and eat, it basically frees up more time on my calendar.
My parents also liked the place I'm staying at. They said although the outside is pretty dark, they said it's a nice area and it seems like the neighbours are really nice from what my housemate and I have told them. So yeah, it's all good. I was a little worried they won't really like it because they can be a little picky about security etc... but they really find it quite nice. Let me know if you guys ever head up.
Tomorrow is work and after work, it's back to study, study, study.
