Blessed and Unpredictable Events

I don't really know how to describe today's events - just 'surprising', 'blessed' and 'unpredictable' are probably the three words that come to mind in an instance.

1) I took the bus and train this morn. The bus came on time (which is really unusual - it usually comes like 5 mins late - 20 minutes latest - and it was really unexpected that it came early this morn, especially since the World Youth Day Pope event was around). Plus when I got off the bus, the train came 5 mins after I bought a ticket. That was really quick and it was all in good timing.

2) It was such a lovely sunny day, but really cold today. Amazingly, despite the cold, people were rather cheery and chirpy on the streets. I heard people talking about Jesus and salvation, which was the strangest thing especially you hear it every few minutes from almost every group of people on the streets. It seemed like the whole Sydney city was talking about Jesus. It was really awesome.

3) And while walking to work, I received a little pamphlet from one of those leaflet people and it said "Jesus loves ya". It was as simple a that and it really put a smile on my face. I felt all tingly and warm inside.

4) Went into the office and the first person I see is my boss. She was rather nice today, which was unexpected... But yeah, work today was really busy, but good. I even helped the other bosses around and met a few other people from different departments.

5) At the end of the day, I went in for my video recording for the corporate ad (Rem the assignment/contract job with I-M-A-X)... I just had to give a sample of my voice in this recording studio booth. I read something on the finance market and they played back my voice to see what I thought. I thought it was okay and they said that most people hate listening back to their voice, but I said, perhaps it's cause I already do speech so I wasn't disturbed by it at all. Lol! I was actually really nervous, because I had never been in that setting before. First take, they said I should read faster. And second take was all good. So yeah, overall, it was truly fun!

6) I never took a train at night before but because there were so many people out and about doing their pilgrim walk with the Pope, I decided to take the train and then bus, rather than just a straight bus from the city (cause lots of city roads were closed). I honestly thought I was going to miss my train when I reached the station, cause there was this Chinese lady who didn't know how to buy a train ticket and she was taking forever. She also couldn't understand English. Good thing there was already a girl helping her, but the girl seemed confused what she wanted too. I was thinking I'd help too, but when the Chinese lady mentioned the suburb she wanted to go to in Chinese, and with me not knowing Syd very well, I don't think it would have been a good idea... I kept thinking "Gosh, I'd miss my train." And then, I finally bought my ticket - and the train got delayed like 3 mins - and so, I managed to board it. Blessed? Yeah!

7) I got off the train and walked to the bus stop. And guess what? After about 10 mins, a bus pulled up. It was one of the buses that goes along that route but it wasn't scheduled to stop at that stop. But it stopped and the driver asked where I was headed. How strange (cause I was waiting for the only bus that was listed to stop which was the 533 - and that wasn't the 533). I told the bus driver I was going to Ryde and he said to hop on cause he was going to the bus depot in Ryde and he can drop me on the way. In fact, I wanted to put in my card to pay him, but he said he already closed the till and I don't need to pay. So yeah, he dropped me off at a bus stop near my place - for free! And during the Ryde, he asked me questions like "Did you see the Pope?" "Did you get blessings from all the other Christians around?" and asked me if I went to church and stuff. Pretty cool. Then he started talking about how he's a Christian and aims to lead his family in the Word. Also says he strives to read the Bible every day... and then he showed me his Bible and said he reads it when he has bus breaks and especially when he has to start fairly early in the morn. So quite amazing. By the way, the bus driver was an old guy with a warm face. I think if it was a bus driver who looked like O-s-a-m-a or something, I'd be a little bit scared if he were to drop me off. Haha!

8) I got home safe and as if the day hadn't gotten stranger... or different... there was a group of young people sitting in the corridor near the steps to my apartment. Of course when I came through the main entrance of my building, they all turned to look. But there was this old guy. And know what they were doing? Bible study! Hmmm...

9) Am now relaxed at home... Might start looking through my Stats bk before uni. It looks like an interesting piece of text - which is another thing I don't get... Like I'm getting enthusiastic about stats which is strange cause I originally hated stats.
