2 Weeks Mid-Sem Break

It was a good week last week. Went to the Korean and Brazilian Festival. A weird mix really... But you could notice the difference. The Korean Festival was really small and the performances were like wayang and some slow Chinese dance, whereas the Brazilian Festival was full of energy, it was big and very out there. Lots of people, lots of food - pics on my Facebook!

Now am working 3 days and then 4 days a week. It actually works really well... and I have some Sundays off which is awesome. I actually get to concentrate more in studies and also have more of a social life - finally! But it's still pretty tough... And I'm still behind all my work. Might try to make up for it during the break...

Yes, Macquarie Uni (where I'm studying) is currently having a mid-sem break of 2 weeks. Syd Uni has just 1 week break. I know all you Syd Uni peeps must be grumbling... Haha! But it's okay, because you guys started one week later in the beginning of sem, so it all works out. Anywayz, this mid-sem am working quite a bit, so not entirely a break.

But am excited - I'm heading down to Melb for a few days!! Arriving Melb at 11:50pm on Sat night... so yes, close to midnight... and TY will be picking me up - I feel like Cinderalla. Haha! And am leaving Melb on Wed at 8:15pm. Couldn't actually get cheap flights going to Melb - The Happy Hour Virgin Blue tix were all booked out - even the Super deals - wonder what's happening over there... Hmmm... So I went into my Qantas account and realised I actually had enough points to use for a one way ticket, so I did. So I'll be heading to Melb on Qantas and returning on Virgin Blue. A bit weary of Qantas now, with all those sudden plane malfunctions... pray for safe journey.

Pre-Melbourne trip, I'll be washing clothes, doing some house chores, finishing up some Stats revision for Lectures 1-8 on this CD that everyone in class was given for this subject. No, not hardworking - am just writing out notes. Hee! Might attempt one of the online tests as well... I have 4 Stats online tests all due mid-October, but they're open already, so I should start cracking on at least one before I head to Melb. Also have a P-h-o-n-e-t-i-c-s assignment and a S-p-e-e-c-h A-c-o-u-s-t-i-c-s assignment due after the break - yeah, it's all coming at once!! Argghh!

Today and tomorrow are gonna be nice days. Wish I had time to wash my car, but unfortunately, I have to start at 2pm today to help one of my colleagues do some web stuff. And before that, doing some laundry and cleaning the place... which could take an hour, and then I have to go get some groceries... and rush off to work.
